Excimer Laser
Using an excimer laser or an excimer lamp, excimer light is a type of targeted phototherapy that emits ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation at a specific wavelength (308 nm). It is helpful in a number of skin disorder therapies. There is no downtime and the procedure is painless.

The localised vitiligo, psoriasis, or other skin lesion is treated immediately with the UV light generated by a handheld excimer device. It emits UVB rays with a 308 nm wavelength. The lesion receives radiation for a predetermined amount of time. Small, localised lesions are highly beneficial. To improve the clinical outcome, excimer laser is frequently coupled with creams such steroids and calcineurin inhibitors.
Patients are often scheduled for therapy 1-3 times each week.
The radiation dose is determined by the lesion's nature, skin type, location, and response to treatment. In six to eight sessions, a favorable reaction is possible. The number of sessions necessary can range from 20 to 30, depending on each person's response.
